Council has awarded a contract to design and construct a new pump track, at a location to be determined in Jerrabomberra, to Common Ground.

‘This is a really exciting project for Jerrabomberra, we have heard feedback that families in Jerrabomberra want more recreational facilities for their kids and this pump track will be a great addition,’ Mayor Kenrick Winchester said.

‘Common Ground are an award-winning team who have lots of experience in pump track design and construction.’

‘We are looking forward to hearing from the community so that we can provide the best track and best location for the new pump track.’

The community are invited to a drop-in workshop to provide input into the design of the pump track and discuss the options for the location. A focus group with young people interested in the project will also be organised.

The drop-in workshop is on Wednesday 30 August at the Jerrabomberra Community Centre from 3.00pm to 6.30pm.

Locations being considered at this stage are, Esmond Avenue Park on Esmond Avenue, Jerrabomberra Park on Elm Way/Acacia Drive, Jerrabomberra Creek Park on Waterfall Drive and the Regional Sports Complex on Environa Drive.

This project is funded by the NSW Government under the Regional Youth Investment Program.
