  • Council heard from a member of the public who made a presentation about a Development Application that was on the meeting's agenda
  • Council did not support conditional consent to variations to SEPP Housing 2021 for development application DA.2023.0461 for a co-living housing development at 95 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan. This matter may return to a future meeting.
  • Council granted conditional consent to DA.2023.0465 for two lot Torrens title subdivision and construction of centre-based childcare facility, specialised retail, food, drink premises with associated drive-through, service station, signage at 113 Glenrock Drive, Googong
  • Council granted approval to variations of SJDCP 2015 and conditional consent to DA.2023.0313 for construction of multi-dwelling housing at 4 Saltbush Parade, Tralee
  • Council approved the progression of the draft planning proposal to amend the QPRLEP 2022 by rezoning land at 7 and 15 Halfway Creek Road, Bungendore and will forward to NSW DPHI for gateway determination and undertake consultation and exhibition
  • Council adopted in principle the names Calathea Loop and Pandorea Way for two new roads in Stage 2B of Estate 2 at South Jerrabomberra Urban Release Area and will advertise the names for 28 days and publish in NSW Government Gazette if no objections
  • Council endorsed the Braidwood Community Plan
  • Council renewed existing licence agreement with Cartel Taqueria in Ray Morton Park for a five-year term for a fee of $24,000 ex GST per annum
  • Council deferred consideration of the proposed lease agreement with Amplitel Pty Ltd
  • Council received report with response to letter sent to Hon Catherine King MP, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government about Dunns Creek Road Stage 1
  • Council received report about Health, Safety, Environment and Quality activities for the July-September quarter
  • Council endorsed minutes and recommendations of Local Traffic Committee of 8 October 2024
  • Council noted minutes of the Queanbeyan Showground Advisory Committee meeting of 12 August 2024
  • Council noted the proposed Traffic Management Plan for the 2024 Queanbeyan Country Muster Event to be held at Seiffert Oval, which obtained majority support from delegate votes received at an Extraordinary Local Traffic Committee Meeting. Council will notify Transport for NSW and NSW Police of its intention to approve the proposed Traffic Management Plan. Council will continue engagement with Transport for NSW and NSW Police to address matters of concern
  • In closed session, Council awarded contract for road rehabilitation services (in-situ stabilisation pavement treatment) to Fulton Hogan Australia Pty Ltd until 30 June 2026
