Funding applications for Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council’s Annual Community Grants Program are closing soon.

‘These grants support local community groups and not-for-profits that make a huge impact on our community,’ said Deputy Mayor Esma Livermore.

‘There are two grant categories that local community organisations can apply for and up to $3,000 is available per eligible organisation.’

‘Category A funding can be spent on charitable purposes like relief of poverty, advancement of education or other community purposes, while Category B covers venue hire of Council facilities.’

‘Previous grant recipients have hosted concerts and carols, provided support for at risk families and individuals, held meetings for their community groups or hosted educational programs, fundraisers and luncheons.’

‘These grants are a great way to support organisations that dedicate themselves to helping our community in all sorts of wonderful ways’, said Deputy Mayor Esma Livermore.

The program is open to non-profit community organisations or groups based in or affiliated with the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council Local Government Area.

Applications for the 2024-25 funding round close at 11pm on Friday 2 August 2024.
