COMPLETED Oallen Road rehabilitation and shoulder widening

We have completed rehabilitating two sections on Oallen Road which covers a total length of approximately 7.6km.

The project involved widening the pavement from 5.5m to 8m (where possible), stabilising the pavement, applying a bitumen seal, installing line marking, and guardrails in a few sections.

We have completed geotechnical investigations, and procurement is currently underway. Stablisation work was completed in November/December 2024.

This project is funded by the NSW Government with a co-contribution from Council.

Update September 2024

  • Completed scrubbing/clearing work
  • Tenders are currently being assessed for the stabilisation work
  • We are currently working on culvert extensions, shoulder grading and drain clearing

Update October/November 2024

  • Work is continuing on shoulder clearing and drain clearing
  • Stabilisation work began on 29 October
  • Drivers should expect delays and reduced speed limits. Sections are unsealed, as the road seal has been removed ready for stabilisation work.
  • Traffic control will be place for approximately 6-8 weeks
