Tree Planting at Turallo Creek

  • Site access at CNR Butmaroo Street and Turallo Terrace.
  • A morning tea will be provided, and people are asked to wear enclosed shoes and sun protection.

Educational Walk in Queanbeyan

  • Date: Sunday June 2
  • Time: 10am
  • Location: End of Dane Street, Karabar

Join Queanbeyan Landcare and QPRC for an educational walk around the Queanbeyan River. Learn about native plants and animals, local urban ecosystems, and the fantastic work done by Queanbeyan Landcare. If you’re lucky, we might see a platypus!

Please wear enclosed shoes and sun protection. A morning tea will be provided at the end of the walk.

Environmental Networking Expo

  • Date: Wednesday 5 June
  • Time: 4pm-6pm
  • Location: Bicentennial Hall, Queanbeyan
  • Local environmental groups, organisations and companies are invited to host a stall and network with other local groups. Please contact emery.joseph@qprc.nsw.gov.au to book a stall. Members of the public are invited to attend and connect with local organisations.

Braidwood Environmental Event

A World Environment Day event will be organised in Braidwood later in the year when weather is warmer. 

World Environment Day Poster Competition

K-6 students across the LGA are invited to enter a sustainability poster competition. The competition closes on Wednesday 5 June, and an awards ceremony and showcase will be held after the event - with prizes available for the best entries. Find out more and enter here.
