Anzac Day 2025

We have pulled together as much information as we have been able to source regarding Anzac Day events in QPRC. The majority of these events are run by members of the community. 

Araluen

Service at the War Memorial assembles from 8:50am.

Braidwood

Dawn Service assembles from 6am and Main Service assembles from 10:30am at the Town Cenotaph.

Road closures (from 6-7am for Dawn Service and 10:30am-11:30pm for Main March):

• Wallace Street from Wilson Street to Lascelles Street will be closed.
• Wilson Street from Park Lane to Wallace Street will be closed.

Bungendore

The Bungendore War Memorial S355 Committee hosts the annual Anzac Day ceremonies.

Dawn Service assembles from 6am and Main Service assembles from 10:30am at the Town Cenotaph.

Road closures:

• For the Dawn Service from 5:30am - 7am: Gibraltar Street from Majara Street to Butmaroo Street
• For the Main Service and March from 9:30am - 12:30pm: Gibraltar Street from Molonglo Street to Majara Street

Captains Flat

The Captains Flat S355 Committee hosts the ceremony.

Dawn Service started at 5:30am and Main Service assembles from 9.30am.

Road closures:

• Captains Flat Road from Miners Road to Foxlow Street
• Foxlow Street from Captains Flat Road to Braidwood Road including closures at the intersection of Kurrajong Street and Wattle Avenue

Googong

Dawn Service at Bunyip Park in Googong Central from 5:45am.

Service assembles from 5.45am.

Jerrabomberra
Dawn Service adjacent to the Jerrabomberra Hotel.

Service assembles from 5:00am.

Road closures:

Part closure of the car park surrounding the western side of the hotel. Closure will be from 4-8am.

Majors Creek

Service assembles from 8:30am in the St Stephens Church grounds.

Queanbeyan

The event is jointly run by QPRC, RSL and Legacy Queanbeyan. The March is from the RSL building on Crawford Street, along Monaro Street to the memorial at the corner of Lowe and Monaro Streets.

• 5:15am - March from Queanbeyan RSL to WW1 Memorial
• 5:30am - Queanbeyan Dawn Service, WW1 Memorial
• 6:00am - Legacy Gunfire Breakfast, Walshes Hotel
• 9:00am - Ex Services Wreath Laying, Queanbeyan Lawn Cemetery
• 9:45am - Boer War Memorial Service, Moore Park
• 10:00am - March from Queanbeyan RSL to WW1 Memorial
• 10:25am - ANZAC Service, WW1 Memorial

• Monaro Street (full width) between Crawford Street and Lowe Street
• Farrer Place (full width) between Lowe Street and Cameron Road
• Crawford Street between Rutledge Street and Monaro Street
• Lowe Street southbound from Monaro Street & Lowe Street Carpark entrance
• Lowe Street northbound from Monaro Street and Cooma Street

Main Service (from 9.00am to 11.30am)

• Monaro Street (Full width) between Crawford Street and Lowe Street
• Farrer Place (full width) between Lowe Street and Cameron Road
