Head over to the Riverside Plaza to find out about local Senior support Services and social groups at our Seniors Expo.

A variety of service providers and seniors community groups will be present to provide information, resources and giveaways to residents from the Queanbeyan-Palerang region, over the age of 65.

Monday 10 March 2025 - Queanbeyan Tennis Club
Come and Try Pickleball session for seniors

Join us for a FREE Come & Try Pickleball session and a light lunch.

Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court with a low net like tennis, players use over-sized ping pong paddles with a hollow plastic ball. The average game takes between 10-20 minutes.

The session will take place at Queanbeyan Pickleball Courts, 12 Wanniassa Street. All equipment provided. Please wear supportive lace up shoes and appropriate clothing including sun protection. Parking onsite is limited but there is street parking in the vicinity. Access to the Pickleball courts is through the pedestrian gate from the carpark, access onto the courts is step-free but there is a single low step into the Clubhouse main room and toilet.

AI Adventures for Seniors - 2:00 – 3:30pm 
AI Adventures for Seniors will be a fun and interactive event where seniors will explore how to plan an adventure using ChatGPT. Participants will receive a basic introduction to AI, followed by hands-on experience in a safe and engaging environment. They will ask the AI for suggestions on what to do at holiday destinations and learn to refine their trip plans with more detailed prompts. After testing out their new skills, attendees will share their planned adventures with the group and enjoy a morning tea together.

Queanbeyan Community Choir Performance - 1:00 – 2:00pm 

Join us for live music at the library! Queanbeyan Community choir will be performing a variety of songs for you to enjoy. The choir meet regularly for rehearsals and are led by conductor Michael Row. Queanbeyan Community choir started 4 years ago after the Covid lockdowns, and have since performed at many local community events and present a concert every year.
