Library Lounge

Join our after-school program for young people!

This program is a safe and inclusive space where young people can build confidence, self-esteem and resilience while playing games, meeting new people or making art. 

Activities include board games, journaling and other art and craft projects.  The program is free and afternoon tea is provided. This program is for children aged 10 and over. It runs from 3:30 - 4:30pm on Tuesdays during school terms.

At Queanbeyan Library on the Mezzanine of the Nellie Hamilton Centre, 257 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan. Complete the online registration form below.

Youth Committee 

The QPRC Youth Committee aims to encourage participation in civic life, foster an interest in grass roots community issues. Members of the committee will be actively involved in shaping the future of QPRC by:

  • Providing informed advice to Council on the development, implementation, monitoring and review of policy, strategies and plans that affect young people.
  • Advising QPRC about important youth issues in the local area.
  • Developing local youth-led initiatives and projects that address identified needs.
